Neither exchange's public API gives a listing date. This site's server fetches both market lists every 3 minutes and records when a market first appears. That can differ by a few minutes from the trading start the exchange announced, and a listing that happened while the server was down gets the time it was confirmed afterwards. "vs first-day open" compares with the open of the oldest daily candle from 24 hours before the confirmed time onward (Upbit days start at 09:00 KST, Bithumb at 00:00 KST). "vs prev close" follows each exchange's own day (Upbit 09:00, Bithumb 00:00 KST).

So that one incomplete response is never recorded as a delisting, a market missing from the list is confirmed only if it is still missing at a check at least 5 minutes later (the time shown is when it was first seen missing). Delistings are per market: a coin can leave the BTC market and stay on KRW. Check the exchange's notice for the withdrawal deadline.
How listings, warnings and delistings work
On Korea's exchanges Upbit and Bithumb, a "listing" is formally the start of trading support and a "delisting" is the end of trading support. The notes below summarise both exchanges' developer documentation and notices; the detailed review criteria are not published, so none are given here.
Listing (start of trading support)
- The exchange runs its own review, then announces in a notice which markets (KRW, BTC, USDT) the coin joins and when deposits and trading open. With the Virtual Asset User Protection Act in force since July 2024, the exchanges' association DAXA sets common standards for listing reviews.
- Right after listing there is little trading history and prices tend to swing hard. Upbit judges its price-swing alert from the opening price for coins listed less than 96 hours ago, and excludes them from the volume and deposit alerts.
- Times on this page are when the market was confirmed in the list. Use the time in the exchange's notice as the exact trading start.
Warnings and caution alerts
- Designated for review (Upbit
warning· BithumbCAUTION) - A designation while the exchange reviews whether to keep supporting trading. Deposits are usually suspended, the project gets time to respond, and the exchange then announces a release, an extension or the end of trading support.
- Caution alerts (Upbit
caution· Bithumb alert system) - Automatic alerts for unusual behaviour such as price swings, volume or deposit surges, a domestic vs global price gap or concentration in a few accounts. They are removed when things calm down. Bithumb's alert API also gives a level (caution, warning, danger) and a scheduled end time; Upbit's public API only says on or off.
Delisting (end of trading support)
- The exchange announces an end date; after that the coin cannot be traded and holdings must be withdrawn by the announced deadline.
- It can happen per market: a coin can be removed from the BTC market only.
How to read it
- New listings and alerts are records of fact, not buy or sell signals.
- Markets that existed before tracking began are shown as "existing" with no listing date. This page does not guess dates.
